Goring & Streatley has a large junior membership section and is a great place to learn to play golf. The course offers a wide range of terrains and challenges, and demands a large variety of shots. Our junior membership rates are highly competitive and all-inclusive.

Junior Academy and Coaching
On weekends throughout the year, our Professional holds group lessons, at reduced rates, for junior players aged 4 or older who are considering taking up golf. Clubs can be supplied on request.

The Club has a remarkable record of success which has been sustained over many years. As a junior, our member Simon Pardoe won the British Boys Championships and the Welsh Amateur Championship, Sandy Bolton (17) won the BB&O County Championship and represented Scotland in the European Boys Amateur Team Championship, Emily Savage (15) won the Berkshire Girls Scratch Championship and was invited to the Lee Westwood Golf Academy, and Luke Williams (17) won both the BB&O Junior Championship and our Club Championship.
Carl Mason, the most successful European senior golfer of all time, crafted his playing skills at Goring and Streatley as a Junior member. Our Junior Open trophy was donated by Carl and is the first trophy he won as a Professional golfer.
Competitions & Team Events
The Club holds regular competitions for Junior members and subject to playing ability also encourages them to enter our adult competitions. Our Junior Team plays in the Thames Valley Junior Golf League.
