I would like to thank Keith and yourself for making us all so welcome yesterday. We enjoyed a great day from start to finish enhanced by the hospitality of your staff. Keith was there in the background for us for to answer any questions and offer information and your staff kept us happy afterwards with a nice meal and friendly bar service.

The course played very well and we will surely visit Goring and Streatley again in the summer to experience it in its full glory!

A big thankyou from myself and all our members of the Honeywell Golf League. We visited your stunning golf club on Saturday 12^th October to play our last league event of this season and all of us couldn’t off asked for a better club to complete the year.

Please can you pass on to your green keeping staff that the course condition was top class and the greens were some of the best we’ve played on this year even with the rain we had.

Please pass on a big thankyou to Mark and all the staff for making us feel very welcome. Our food was very nice.

All our members would love to re-visit Goring and Streatley next year in the summer.

Thank you so much for your help at the Ladies Open. All our 81 visitors enjoyed their day and were very appreciative of the warm welcomes they received, the banter with the Starters, the assistance of the Ball Spotters, and the very welcome on course refreshments. Well done all!  The team from Surbiton won with a very impressive score of 85, Oxford Ladies 2nd with 75 and Kingsdown 3rd with 73. The Raffle made about £300 for Margaret’s Charity.

We all had a fantastic day and as always the reception from you and team was brilliant as was the course.  I will certainly be looking forward to seeing you again next year same time of year if possible let me know when your diary is up and running. Regards and thanks. 

What a course and surroundings even with the rain showers and breeze. The course was amazing and the best greens we’ve played for some time. Really good layout and I noticed the bunkers were immaculate, plenty of sand, cut perfectly etc. Massive mention to the green staff for their hard work. The food and staff were also brilliant – the gammon was much talked about and everyone enjoyed this. Staff were also excellent. The pro shop were friendly and helpful.
Also a massive thank you for all your help, allowing us to play, and all correspondences throughout, you have been most helpful.

May I take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for a fantastic day out at Goring golf club, Nothing was too much trouble for you which makes my day as the organiser so easy to enjoy.
As you know I was unable to play because of knee ligament damage, I was so envious driving round in the buggy watching the guys play golf on such a beautiful golf course, In fact the feedback I got from virtually every single player was to book straight away for next year.
Over the last 10 years we have been running our society we have played well over 70 golf courses and Goring would definitely be in the top 5. I very much look forward to coming back next year with the guys and playing the course again. Morning Jenny, I just want to thank you and your staff for looking after us on Friday and making our day out at Goring very enjoyable.

We have been going as a society for over 10 years now and must of played well over 70 different courses in that time, it’s quite rare amongst them to make you feel as welcome as you all did at Goring, I know and understand that the clubs need society money coming in to help out but to some golf clubs that is all we are an inconvenience but a necessity to raise funds.

It is the little touches that make the big differences when it comes to visiting societies and you and your staff excelled in that. The lads thoroughly enjoyed the day at Goring and we will be returning next year without fail.

Huge thank you to Jenny & Wobbly for a very enjoyable day as always. Everybody enjoyed it immensely and I have had nothing but positive remarks from everyone. Considering the dry weather the course and particularly the Greens were in brilliant condition.

Jenny was extremely helpful from the first contact through to the end of the day, supported by the F&B staff. Although we had a small number of ladies than expected, this didn’t change the level of service. Thank you.

Hi Jenny, Just to thank you for being so attentive on Tuesday (and during the run-up to the Meeting), we really couldn’t have asked for anything more. It did ensure the day went off without a hitch (except for the wind, but that was just unfortunate!!). Also thanks to Matt and the rest of F&B for providing such excellent service, and good food.

I have of course done the survey, sadly it will be a few years before BCLVGA are able to come back to G&S, but that is no reflection on the condition of the course or the experience the Ladies had.

Thank you for organising a lovely day for the Bradfield Ladies yesterday.  We all had a great time and although our numbers were down we all said what fun it was.  The course is wonderful, in beautiful condition, and a treat to play.  The weather was dry except one heavy shower in the afternoon so we were very lucky. Anne Smillie and Keith all made us feel very welcome so thank you for organising that too.

A great days golf from start to finish, friendly staff which is always nice.
Golf course in fantastic condition apart from one green which was a bit patchy. I think it was the 4th hole.
We all really enjoyed our day as we have before.

You will pleased to know I have just completed the survey will 5 yes’s! Which is a good indication of how the day went for Lister Wilder. A big thank you to yourself, Keith and members within the office for all their help leading up to and on the day.

Could you also please pass on my thanks to Matt as the course was the envy of many of our guests, a number of which are members of very well established golf courses. It was great to see the condition of the course has the real benefit of the irrigation system now in place and Matt and his team for attention to detail on its presentation.  

Keith, thank you also for your assistance during the day and the competition and for ‘nearest the bottle’ was a great success. Even more if you hadn’t of disqualified my ball for being slightly behind it!

I just wanted to say ‘thank you’ to G&S for yesterday.  It was our last event of the year and, I have to say, it went with a swing!  Even the weather stayed dry! 

Everyone was very complimentary – whether it was about the state of the fairways or the quality and choice of the food.  As always Mark and Hannah were on hand to be helpful and to make sure everyone had what they needed.  I cannot speak too highly of the pair of them.  And in the run-up to the day Laura and you had given myself and the organisers confidence that things would go well.

Just a few words to thank Goring & Streatley GC for an amazing day.  Please can you pass on our thanks to the members who made us feel welcome, the green staff for an amazing course and the F&B team, for looking after us.

Andy was amazing and really friendly and helpful, his team served us up a lovely lunch with no moans or groans. The course was fantastic, especially the greens. We all got around in the light and no rain neither.

Thanks to yourself and Jenny for all the help and guidance throughout and will have Goring on our 2021 list for sure.

Simply fantastic!

The whole day was perfect in every way.  Kiersa was very welcoming and showed me everything.  I was keen to play at a course where the higher handicappers would not be daunted.  It worked a treat as the winner was a 29 handicapper who came in with 43 pts and the second was a 35 handicapper who came in with 41 pts.

The course was in amazing condition – we could not get over the green fairways.  The greens were excellent too.  We were so lucky with the weather, only three short showers, where near the course you could see big showers.

Everyone was delighted with the meal, and the chef was very accommodating to produce the food half an hour earlier.  The waiting staff were very personable too.

To all involved eg from men at the check in desk in bar area. To the starter who was so generous with his course knowledge. To the bar staff and those who brought the food. Everyone was pleasant and all had cheerful attitudes. The food by the way was again 5/5 and I might consider coming for a Sunday Lunch if you do that ?

The course was top notch and the greens were as true as any I have played on. So again great credit to your hard working green staff.

We greatly enjoyed our day at G&S. We were greeted with a warm welcome and lunch was good. The course was in excellent condition with fast true greens.

A big thank you to all the staff for making this a great day. The weather was kind to us and the course was in great condition, despite the bunkers being under UGR.

I gave the course 5 stars, this was because the conditions were excellent, bearing in mind the wet weather we have had.

I played at 1014 in the Tuesday 4Ball event, best 2 scores counting Love the course, missed the 2nd as I think one of the best holes in Hampshire, hate the hill walk, but always feel good on the 5th tee.

Half way hut is a credit to you and I have to mention the volunteers that man it, always welcoming, food great and tea/coffee hot.

Coming back on 2nd May for the Seniors tournament, which I am sure we will enjoy again

As regular society visitors to Goring, we know the quality of the course and the high efforts that ground staff, bar staff and organisational staff put into the day and each year we are never disappointed. We have never had below a 5-Star visit and this year was no different. All  HAGA members try hard not to miss this annual fixture and one of our guests that played with us this year has asked to be included again in next years fixture at Goring.

General feedback was the the course was in excellent condition.  Everyone is very friendly and welcoming – including the members.  The food was very good.  The greens were true and exceptionally fast – so we all thought.  Over, excellent!  Thank you!

I have been the Fixture Secretary of various golfing societies over the years and I have always enjoyed playing at Goring and Streatley … I can tell you ‘nobody does it better’ both in the clubhouse and out on the course where it counts!  The greens yesterday were quite remarkable and so fast, it was both a joy and experience to play on one of the best kept courses in the area … my thanks, and also those of our members, go to those members of staff who make playing at Goring and Streatley so enjoyable!

This was a follow up, small group of 15, to our original booking for 36 players for June 2022: that day was thwarted by a mid-round thunderstorm.

It was a one-off booking for my Seniors Captain’s Awayday for 2022.

Despite the weather we had a very good day in June 2022 and received a very warm welcome plus enjoyed an excellent 2 Course Dinner.

Attended the Senior Pairs Open on 2/5/2023.

Made very welcome on arrival, organisers and staff very friendly and helpful.

Course in good condition, though like ours not up to 5 stars everywhere due to the cold spring. But greens fast and true-congratulations to the greens staff.

Have visited/competed many times in the past and will continue to do so!

Firstly, only given the course 4 stars due to the hardness of the fairways which were virtually impossible to stay on on those holes with sideways slopes due to the conditions.

Other than that, everything was first rate and a thoroughly good time was had by all. It far exceeded any expectations.
