We had the Club champs this month, this was a lot later in the year than what we are used to. We had a few different things that we had to contend with just due to the time of year. First of all was the amount of daylight hours during the day, this caused a few small issues but nothing that affected the days. We also had to contend with very high wind speeds and a lot of leaves and brash that had fallen on the Friday eve. This just meant that a few of the jobs we do in the evening were jigged around to allow someone to clean up the surfaces and surrounding areas. Although we don’t do much extra for the club champs it was great to be able to set up the course for a big event this year.
Below are some images taken during our preparation and after the completion of the event at sunset.
The whole event went really well with unanimous praise for the condition of the course. The gross was won by John Pocock with a score of 141 for 2 rounds. The Nett was won by Tim Shaw with a score of 133 for 2 rounds.
