
Goring & Streatley has a large junior section and is a great place to learn to play golf. The course offers a wide range of terrains and challenges, and demands a large variety of shots. Our junior membership rates are highly competitive and all-inclusive, there is also no entrance fee.

Junior Academy and CoachingOn most Sunday mornings throughout the year, our PGA Professional holds group lessons, at reduced rates, for junior players aged 7 or older who are considering taking up golf. The Club has a remarkable record of success which has been sustained over many years. In 2009 Sandy Bolton (17) won the BB&O County Championship and represented Scotland in the European Boys Amateur Team Championship, Emily Savage (15) won the Berkshire Girls Scratch Champlionship and was invited to the Lee Westwood Golf Academy, and earler in the year Luke Williams (17) won both the BB&O Junior Championship and our Club Championship.

The Club holds regular competitions for Cadet & Junior members and subject to playing ability also encourages them to enter our adult competitions. Our Junior Team plays in the Thames Valley Junior Golf League. Our Junior Team last won the Thames Valley Junior League in 2005 and were winners of the Thames Valley Stags Trophy in 2008. Our Juniors also were the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Champions in 1991 and 1992.
