Course Care

Goring & Streatley Golf Club is committed to an ongoing programme of continuous improvement in the quality and care of the course. We use the latest machinery and techniques to ensure that our course is maintained to the highest possible standards throughout the year, and to produce some of the finest greens in the South of England. In consultation with our course architect we regularly review the design of the course.

We have a superb team of course staff led by Brian Valentine and his deputy Michael Strange, both of whom have been with the club for over thirty years. All players are requested to support the care of the course by :

• Replacing divots on fairways and in the rough
• Repairing pitchmarkson the greens
• Raking bunkers
• Using the soil mixture provided to repair repair divots on tees
